From Javelina to Wild Ram A-Team feeds more than 100 folks at Wild game Luncheon

Fort Atkinson, WI – The A-Team Adventure Series breaks a record, serving wild game from across the country to more than 100 members, advocates, and friends at Opportunities Incorporated in Fort Atkinson. A-Team family members from the Kandu Industries Chapter in Janesville/Milton took buses up for the event. The event focused not only on enjoying a wide range of wild game, it provided an opportunity to learn about self-advocacy, meet new and renew old friendships while networking with others regarding CHOICE.
Television and radio Chef Ellie Lawton along with A-Team Adventure Leader Joel Kleefisch prepared and served wild game barbeque sandwiches of 7 different wild game animals from 5 states. Antelope, Javelina, American Buffalo, Corsican Ram, Axis Deer, Wild Turkey, and Wild Boar made up the medley hunted from Wisconsin, Michigan, Iowa, Wyoming, and Texas.
Smiles, laughs and second servings dominated the day as more than 60 pounds of wild game fed the hungry crowd.
“Our KANDU group had a wonderful time at the A-Team Wild Game Luncheon,” said Kathy Hansen, KANDU Executive Director. “It was a fun day filled with great food, laughter, friendship, and the opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for choice and self-advocacy. We are incredibly grateful to the A-Team for their leadership and continued support of 14(c), which remains an important tool in ensuring people with disabilities have access to meaningful work opportunities that fit their individual abilities and goals.
